I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
we started this initiative of the WEY foundation with a thought of empowering our surroundings to begin with, and take it up on a larger scale and larger reach of people all around where there is a need of empowerment in terms of basics for the people like education, sports, hunger hygiene, health, home, sanitization, local economy, spot individual talent in any field.
We invite underprivileged kids from the surrounding area and invite them to spend a day with us once or twice a month as logistics of the area permit with due permissions. We engage them in various activities like reading, art, sports, gardening, watching movies n more, this is to see what the kids like and would like to develop in the future as a career.
We serve healthy food to them and then have all kids clean up the area this way we teach n inculcate cleanliness and hygiene habits. This will teach them to keep their surroundings clean where they live.
These programs will be held in our neighborhood n theirs respectively so they feel included n see and experience both sides of the society and learn to adapt both ways.
We manage to meet dual purposes of skill development and teaching them some values like health hygiene social responsibility. Our purpose here is to see that we empower these kids for a new beginning where they come have fun learn a skills take it home and bring two more kids next visit as their commitment and so we build a chain of young empowering generation. These children when return home with feathers on their hats others will be inspired to join the force n thus build the chain of development.
Our Foundation’s tag line comes from the thought….”We empower you …you empower two” Our vision is to grow this in each area and soon engage them in activities and competitions too. We want to plant a dream in their heart & mind, unlimited dreams & then we together work towards fulfilling their dreams.
